Standard First Aid & CPR-C/AED

Time: 2 days  Fee: $105 per person

Designed to meet industry, business and government requirements, Standard level first aid is a modular course for those who want to learn more first aid skills.

The Standard level first aid course is built on the same core and elective lessons as the Emergency level course. The course includes core and elective lessons as well as a written exam. Standard First Aid is recommended for worksites with 20-99 employees.

Marine Basic First Aid

Time: 2 days  Fee: $130 per person

This is an excellent course for both the recreational boater and the professional mariner. This course is similar to Standard First Aid with CPR. It is accompanied by a Marine Supplement which includes chapters on Marine related topics. This course is approved by Transport Canada and meets the requirements for those in the marine industry who require this certification.

Basic Life Support

Time: 4 hours  Fee: $45 per person

This course name was called Healthcare Provider CPR. This course was specifically designed for those who require it for future enrollment in certain university courses as well as workers in the health care field who work under a medical license. High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants with the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Ventilation using a barrier device and bag-valve-mask plus much more.

CPR-C/AED

Time:4 hours  Fee: $40 per person

The most comprehensive level of training available, this course provides all the skills required for Adult, Child, and Infant Resuscitation; including One and Two Rescuer CPR, First Aid for Choking, and proper use of barrier devices.  Automated External Defibrillation (AED) is now includes as part of our CPR Level “C” class.

Defensive Driving

LINE DEFENSIVE DRIVING 3 DEMERIT REDUCTION PROGRAM OVERVIEW

This 6 hour online Defensive Driving program is approved by the Prince Edward Island Government for reduction of 3 demerits points from a PEI operator’s licence. A minimum mark of 80% must be obtained on the final exam to qualify for the demerit point reduction.

This program contains audio, video, and interactive exercises. If you are looking for a comprehensive defensive driving program that also is approved for demerit reduction, then this is it. This program teaches the trademarked SAFER System of Defensive Driving.

In order to receive a reduction in demerits, this course must be completed at our facility. Please register for a course date that’s available on our calendar or contact our office.

Babysitting Course

Time: 7 hours  Fee: $40 per person

*Optional early drop off (8:30am) and late pick up (4:30pm) for an additional $10

Offers basic first aid and care giving skills for youth 11-15 years old. Participants learn how to provide care to children in a variety of age groups, and how to prevent and respond to emergencies. The course also offers youth the skills to promote themselves as babysitters to prospective families.

PREREQUISITE

Minimum 11 years of age (or completion of Grade 5)

Stay Safe

Time: 6 hours  Fee: $40 per person

Offers basic first aid and safety skills for youth 9-13 years old. Participants learn about being safe when they are without the direct supervision of a parent, guardian, or trusted adult, both at home and in their communities.

Minimum 9 years of age (or completion of Grade 3)

Home Alone

Time: 2 hours  Fee: $25 per person

Ideally, children should be supervised at all times. Home Alone is for 9-11 year old’s who may have to spend a brief amount of time alone due to parents stuck in traffic, or any unforeseen circumstances. Students will learn home safety procedures, ways to obtain emergency help and when it is appropriate to call 911. Other topics include basic safety tips, healthy eating, fighting boredom, overcoming fears, and fire safety.

Minimum 9 years of age (or completion of Grade 3)
